This presentation captivates audiences and leaves a profound impact that resonates beyond the final buzzer.

The PWHL is on an impressive growth trajectory, primarily driven by its Takeover Tour, which has strategically brought member teams into various arenas across North America.

The Takeover Tour launched in Seattle, WA, on January 5. It showcased a fierce matchup between the Montréal Victoire and the Boston Fleet. Boston triumphed with a nail-biting 3-2 shootout victory at Climate Pledge Arena, home of the NHL's Seattle Kraken.

The Victoire returned to the ice just days later to face the Toronto Sceptres at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. In a commanding performance, Montréal claimed its first victory of 2025, decisively defeating Toronto 4-2 in the home arena of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.

Since that January 8 game, four more Takeover Tour matches have taken place, with the latest happening on February 23 in Buffalo, NY, where the Boston Fleet faced off against the New York Sirens.

The PWHL currently consists of six strong teams: Boston, New York, Minnesota, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montréal. The Takeover Tour has expanded the league's reach, drawing substantial crowds and fostering a passionate fanbase.

As of January 3, over 300 comments flooded the PWHL's Takeover Tour announcement post on Instagram, with fans eagerly discussing future game locations and expressing their enthusiasm for the nine games lined up this year. Nearly 90,000 fans have attended the first six Takeover Tour games, solidifying the league’s growing popularity.

Attendance for PWHL games is now averaging around 7,300, a remarkable increase from last season's 5,500. The Takeover Tour has undeniably played a crucial role in boosting these numbers, while the move to larger venues has been a resounding success for several teams.

PWHL players are vital role models for individuals across North America, and the Takeover Tour further elevates their visibility. Discussions about expansion are underway, with announcements expected in early April.

The seventh game of the tour is set for Friday, March 7, at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, NC. It will feature a compelling clash between the Minnesota Frost and Ottawa Charge.

Future stops in Detroit, MI, and St. Louis, MO, promise even more excitement as the league continues its upward momentum.
